Centrally located in the Morongo Basin of the Mohave Desert, the town of Joshua Tree is the West Entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park. The location offers a moderate to mild climate nearly 3,000 feet above sea level. This elevation leads to temperatures that average 10 degrees cooler in summer than Palm Springs and 20 degrees warmer in winter than the nearby mountain communities. Visitors to this enjoy picture-perfect dawns and sunsets thanks to the pristine, smog-free air. The desert days are typically clear and nights are a delight for star-gazers.

The community of Landers was famous in the 1950s for UFO sightings at the world's larget freestanding boulder, Giant Rock. It was during this time that aeronautical engineers George Van Tassel built a structure he termed the Integratron at a highly magnetic area near the boulder site. Tassel claimed the structure was "a high-voltage electrostatic generator that would supply a broad range of frequencies to recharge the cell structure." The parabolic shape of the structure creates an amazing sound chamber. The Integratron's acoustically optimized, wrap-around sound amplification delivers sound deep into cellular levels.
